ART & ART HISTORY

 

1st and 3rd Saturday - 1-3 PM

Registration: $5.00 Ages: 6 – 18 yrs.

 

          The class meets every two weeks highlighting a different artist. Students will learn Art history and do an age-appropiate art project featuring the artist style. All supplies are included. Ages 6-18.

                            Frida Kahlo

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo is remembered for her self-portraits, pain and passion, and bold, vibrant colors. She is celebrated in Mexico for her attention to Mexican and indigenous culture and by feminists for her depiction of the female experience and form.

Saturday, March 18, 2023 - 1-3 PM

                           Pablo Picasso

Probably the most important figure of the 20th century, in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period. Before the age of 50, the Spanish born artist had become the most well-known name in modern art, with the most distinct style and eye for artistic creation.

 Introduction to Youth Writing Class

         Presented by Sandra Kohlbrecher 

 A fun and challenging writing class to encourage youth to express themselves through words and creativity from start to finish in the writing of a short story.  A Journal will be provided for writing and drawing their ideas.

Youth ages 8-12
